I’ve been bombarded with messages about love recently, so much, I think God is trying to get my attention. It’s crazy how I’ve prayed for something for so long but had no idea what it really meant. Ultimately, love is a sacrifice. I think the world has done a great job misconstruing the word love and changing the true intent of marriage. We have been deceived to think love is only this romantic feeling and marriage is a fairytale (a selfish one at that).
Love is a choice and often a decision to put another’s life and cares before yours. Marriage is a ministry that is designed to glorify God. When you pray for these two things make sure you know what you’re praying for. If you’re not willing to sacrifice you’re not willing to love!
“Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.” ( sacrifice)
Hebrews 7:27 KJV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 (sacrifice)
I know Love and I have Love! For now, that’s the relationship I want to grow!
