Before I wrote this post, I prayed and asked God: “What do your people need to hear?”, He whispered: “Speaking Life to Dead Situations”. As you read this, I pray that you are inspired and encouraged to begin using your words to evoke positive change in your life.
What do the below scriptures have in common?
But say the word, and let my servant be healed. Luke 7:7b
I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen . But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart. Mark 11:23
So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:11
And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. Genesis 1:3
Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble: He saved them out of their distress. He sent His word and healed them. And delivered them from their destructions. Psalm 107:19-20
They are all accounts of the power that our words have. Our words have the power to heal, the power to perform miracles, the power to move mountains, the power to accomplish God’s will, the power to set things into being, and the power to deliver. All throughout the Bible, we hear accounts of God sending forth His word to heal; deliver; save; and set people free. In The Book of Genesis, God spoke a word and formed the world into being. As simple as it sounds, our words have power. I often say: you are either speaking death or life to your own situations. What are you speaking?
We can curse ourselves with a word. We can curse our future with a word. We have to be mindful of how we speak about our lives and how we allow others to.
If I want to change my perspective about my situations, I need to first change how I speak about them; the same goes for you! I need to change how I speak about myself; the same goes for you. Here are a few things I changed:
- I stopped saying “I’m trying”.
- I stopped using the word “broke”.
- I stopped using negative words to describe my current situation.
Speak life to those dead situations in your life. I am referring to anything in your life that is not fruitful: your career, your love life, your purpose, your finances, your friendships – whatever! Stop saying what you wont have, stop saying what you cant do, stop saying what always happens to you, and stop saying you don’t know.
Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Proverbs 18:21
Let’s put an end to self-destructing words. Are you ready to start speaking life to your LIFE? Let’s Go :
I can do this!
I am prepared for this!
I am fully equipped!
I have more than enough!
I am loved!
I am valued!
I have the resources I need to accomplish my goals!
God has not forgotten about me!
I have not been overlooked!
I have purpose!
I am here for a reason!
2018 will be the year I will action everything!
I am not afraid!
I am unstoppable!
If this has blessed you, please feel free to share it and bless someone else.

I saw this just at this perfect time. Nothing is new under the sun and everything seems familiar until God sheds light. I am grateful for your testimony. I need these right now especially when I’m facing warfare and there’s no one but God to run to. I think that is best.
