Stillness is a Pace

Stillness is a Pace

Stillness is a pace.
Stillness is a pace.
Stillness is a pace.

Would you believe me if I said: “You can be still and move at the same time”? This sounds strange and unrealistic doesn’t it? Well God often operates in ways that seem strange and unrealistic; this is why your faith is so important. Hebrews 11:1 says: “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”

How can you be still and move at the same time? You rest in God. You: be still and know that He is God; you: innerstand that God is in control, you: give your problems to God.

“How can I be still when everything is going wrong?” Do you know that God can do far more with your problems than you can? He’s the one that’s going to fix them so why try and wear yourself out. Stillness is a pace.

Often times, my “busyness” was due to not really trusting God with my life. I was busy because I needed to make sure things worked out. Have you been there before? You have to ask yourself what your true intentions are behind doing a thing. Are you actively pursuing something because of the fear that if you don’t, life wont work out for you? Or have you given your dreams to God and realized that all things will work out whether you are moving or still? I pray the latter.

I pray…you get to a point, in your life, where you truly trust God with your plans. I pray you began to understand that He who began a good work in you and will complete it; that’s His word. I pray you understand that nothing and no one can come between what God has for you. No one can stop the plans that God has for your life. There’s no need for you to feel so overwhelmed trying to accomplish everything, be still and know that He is God. Be still and no that He will grant you favor and open doors even when you aren’t moving. In your stillness God grants you peace and clarity. Often times, God calls us to season of stillness so that we can truly hear from Him; wait on divine direction. Let God lead you. You can be still and still move at the same time because, it is God who is moving on your behalf; you don’t have to do a thing if God has called you to be still. Being still is also resting in God’s promises.

You don’t have to fight for anything that God has for you; what’s yours is yours, be still and know that sis.

When life is coming at you fast and you don’t know what to do, be still.

When you cannot make a tough decision, be still.

When you feel overwhelmed, be still.

When things are confusing, be still.

You are not just sitting or standing still, you are resting. In your stillness, you are resting in God’s perfect plan for you.

There is beauty in stillness. Your stillness shows God: “Wow, she really does trust me”. Be still and know that He is God; He will be exalted among the nations,

He will be exalted in the earth”, through your stillness.

Stillness is a pace.
