The Art of Letting Go

There are things and people that we are connected to that slow down our progress. You cannot blame it on anything or anyone but yourself. We must get to a point where we value our purpose so much that we don’t let people hinder us. You cannot take everyone with you and you cannot save everyone. You have to learn how to live and let go.

I know you want the best for them and I know you would hate to see them go but you cannot make people change. Sometimes, experience is the best teacher! Allow people the space to live. LET GOD do the work in them. Allow them the opportunity to to learn from their own mistakes

A pastor once said to me, and I’m paraphrasing: “It’s selfish to hold on to someone that God is trying to get a hold of. Let them Go.”Allow them to develop their own purpose and walk in it. You may want to take everyone with you, but God is saying there is no space right now. Sometimes the best help you can give someone is SPACE. Stop trying to drag them into what you are doing; this is for you! No, this is not self-centered it’s called wisdom. To everything there is a reason and season, this goes for some of your relationships and friendships too. Taking these steps does not make you a bad individual; it makes you a wise individual.

I am sharing this with you because I’ve experienced this myself and I was forced to learn from it. I realized this after depleting all my energy trying to hold on to something God was telling me to let go of. I realized that once it’s time to let it go, I must release it. It has served its purpose, you have learned from it, now it is time for you to move forward. It is time for you to release the heaviness of toxic relationships and friendships. It is time for you to let go of the same crowd of individuals that are not progressing in life.

Repeat after me: GO!

I’ve been following you for a few months and I must say I’m so happy I did! You have a way with words and I want you to know I watch you closely, I look at you as a sister/friend I’ve never had. I’ve been doing the work and practicing celibacy since December and I thank you for keeping me on the right track!
