“And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.”
ROMANS 8:28 AMP
Let this scripture give you confidence that no matter where you are on life’s journey, God is with you. Let it give you hope that when things seem “bad”, God has a way to work it out in your favor and for your good. Let this scripture give you comfort that God truly cares for you, all of you, and everything concerning you. God has a plan for you even when it doesn’t seem like it! He had a purpose for you and where you are right now is in preparation for that!
“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,”
Ephesians 3:20 KJV
Ephesians 3:20 KJV
You know that dream you have for your life? God can do better than that! This scripture let’s us know that our small minds cannot even imagine the great things that God has planned for us. Let this scripture encourage you to leave everything in God’s hands; He can do more with it than you– trust Him. Right now, you may be in a tug of war with God in regards to your life. You’ve been burning your hands with the rope of life in hopes that you can fix your current situation; give it to God. Let it go! Let go of your perception of how things should be. Your “should be” is small in comparison to God’s plans. Let His grand plans manifest in your life. In order to get the fullness of what God has for you, you have to surrender your will to His “exceeding abundantly”.
“I know how to get along and live humbly [in difficult times], and I also know how to enjoy abundance and live in prosperity. In any and every circumstance I have learned the secret [of facing life], whether well-fed or going hungry, whether having an abundance or being in need. I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose–I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.]
PHILIPPIANS 4:12-13 AMP
I’ve read this scripture many times over but this is the first time I realized that God gives us the secret to living in peace. The secret is: to walk closely with God during our journey drawing strength, peace, and sufficiency from Him. The encouragement in this scripture (and life) is not that your problems are going to go away. God never promised us a life absent from trouble but rather a life of peace in the midst of it. In order to tap into God’s peace & strength we have to be willing to :
1. Acknowledge God as the giver of true peace and unlimited strength.
2. Be willing to walk closely with God to receive the peace and strength that only He can give.
The author of this scripture, Paul, says ” I am ready for anything” ; you too can be ready for any form of trouble when you began to: accept that trouble is a part of life and embrace the fact that God is with you.
